This is the north end of the
East Cavalry Field, at Gettysburg NBP. From this direction, CS
Brigadier General Wade Hampton's brigade, of J.E.B. Stuart's Cavalry
Division, pushed south, into the Federal cavalry commanded by US Brigadier
General David McM. Gregg and portions of US Brigadier General Judson
Kilpatrick's division.
