Looking due east, from the Henry
house, this tree is visible. It was under this tree that CS Brigadier
General Barnard Bee was killed. Shortly before being killed, he was
rallying his troops, letting them know the battle was not lost. What
he stated, would elevate a fellow brigadier to almost cult status -
"...there is Jackson standing like a Stone wall." The small
monument for the spot of Bee's death is below, and to the right of the tree.
