The W.H.L. Wallace Memorial.
This is the spot US Brigadier General W.H.L. Wallace was mortally wounded.
While he was shot, in the head, and left on the field for dead, he lived
several additional days, with his wife by his side. This marker is
near the Hornet's Nest, on the Corinth-Pittsburg Road.
