Cold Harbor National Cemetery is adjacent to the Cold Harbor National Battlefield, which is in turn, part of the Richmond National Battlefield Park.
Bivouac of the Dead*

Their shriveled swords are red with rust, Their plumed heads are bowed,
Their haughty banner, trailed in dust, is now their martial shroud.
And plenteous funeral tears have washed the red stains from each brow,
And the proud forms, by battle gashed are free from anguish now.
"Bivouac of the Dead", is displayed at national cemeteries. Verses shall appear on many of these pages.
